Feminist Theories - Foundations and Basic Readings for all genders
The aim of this course is to provide a foundation in the history and multiple strains of feminist theory. Working both individually and in groups, students will research, present and critically analyse the premises, articulations and consequences of feminist thinking with a special focus on relevant philosophical, political and artistic dimensions. There will be room for critical analysis and debate. Students will be expected to keep up with regular reading, prepare a presentation in class and write one or two assignments (in English or German) throughout the course of the semester.
The course will join forces on a few occasions with Sarah Roloff's Thursday class "Gender & Diversität neu erzählt. Oder: wie kann sensible Mediengestaltung aussehen?"
